Chase Edmonds 2020 Outlook

The real question is, do you start Edmonds over Drake if you were forward thinking enough to handcuff?

I wouldn't, although it's close.  Drake is sort of due for his "Mixon explosion game."  Given Drake's superior potential for massive volume, he has a much larger likelihood of having that splash game than Edmonds does.

What the hell is going on this year?  Drake owners are asking if they should be "wasting" a bench spot on Edmonds?  Really? One of the biggest parts of fantasy are owning the game changing handcu

That one lb of muscle makes all the difference.

... i like what you're cooking up here - seems to be crystal clear - Edmonds 'bout to explode ...

This is going to be a timeshare moving forward, most likely a 60/40 split of Drake/Edmonds. Neither of them will get workhorse roles unless one gets injured.

I agree. Sell high if you can get something significant.

Well, last night was a big disappointment.  Put up his lowest point total of the season even with ARI blowing out DAL.  They couldn’t even let him run the clock out at the end?  Instead they had Drake in with less than 3 to go up 31-10 and he ripped off the long TD in trash time.  Very frustrating usage.

devil’s advocate:  if you are holding him as a handcuff and not expecting him to be a consistent flex, it bodes well that these are the numbers that can be put up against the right team

if you are holding thinking he would have rb2 value or would somehow take over 80% of the snaps, yes disappointing.

Well, up 31-10 and less than 3 min to go....you basically feed your main back for the remainder, especially the one that runs better. Pass catching back? yeah, bad game script and Edmonds owners expecting him to become the main back while Drake is healthy are going to be disappointed.

Patience pays off sometimes. Rejoice, and let’s hope that even if drake is healthy, they see the proof of the tape.

edmonds is the more explosive and more dynamic player. Keeps teams from keying on run or pass—and had some nice chunk gains.

shame he’s on bye next week.

He looked incredible tonight and the Drake injury looked very serious. AZ looks to be a real contender... not to rain on any Chase Edmonds value skyrocketing parades... but

Anyone else think they will trade for another RB before the deadline if Drake is out for the season?

Chase seems to perform amazing in their system.  They may just call up some practice squad guys.

ASU kid Eno Benjamin is next up after Chase.

Tough call. IIRC he had the keys to the backfield last year a couple times and didn't do anything with it.

Huh?  The only time he had the keys fully he put up a 27-126-3 statline

We'll see. In some cases the coaches get cutesy in these situations and the gadget/pass guy ends up seeing less pass work because he becomes the main rusher. But it definitely looks good for Edmonds.

He had a clunker the week after vs. a tough Saints run defense. 7 carries, 8 yards. But yeah, that 126/3 TD game can't be dismissed.

So is this dude worth a 1st waiver pick? Highly considering it.

no question. He should never have sniffed waivers in the first place. He’s a top 3 cuff and produces flex numbers in the backup role.  Drake looks like a serious injury. Pull the trigger.
