Not 100% sure what you’re saying, but higher velo almost always equals more swinging strikes and his location hasn’t been as good lately either. I still like his long term value though.

True, it is not going to slow speculation, but I also won't be too much into this as it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.  I don't see how he could already be running out of gas when he's hardly pitched. At least not in a way that should be concerning for him pitching over a full season.  It's possible it's just because he hadn't really pitched much at all over the last 2 years.

If this was over the course of a full season and his velocity kept dropping over the course of the second half, then I'd be truly concerned.  As of now, at least for me, it's just weird.  It's not like he's not still getting a solid amount of strikeouts.
