Anyone else keep picturing this man when hearing this rookie’s name?

Great, now who’s got the stones to start him against Yankees and the returning Aaron Judge?

These days teams usually bring up rookies in a situation meant to give them confidence.  Facing the Yankees line-up with Cole pitching to boot is not exactly the modern trend here.

Just a great album Aqualung is.

On the other hand Ian Anderson is a little out there.

The pitcher or the electric flutist? I can't tell 'em apart anymore...

Well Boston isn't that rough

The offense is coming to life. Last 7 games they've scored: 6, 6, 7, 8, 4, 4, 9

They will sputter soon enough again.  They can't all get and stay hot for than a day or two.  And by the time Anderson would face them the trade deadline may have sent Moreland and Pillar packing.

What's the chance Anderson throws a QS tonight vs the Yankees? 5-10%?

Watched the game too and the kid is legit.

Might for sure have some command/control issues sometimes. Got lucky a bit on some pitch today but sometimes you create your own luck too.

Also, kid is just 22 yo !! His composure looks on point and that’s a big asset !

Yankees lineup was weak af. Bunch of guys hitting .200 this year. Missing DJ, Gleyber, Judge, Frazier, Stanton, etc.  Kid looks good though and bet hell be legit. I have him on one team now.

Watched the game as well. Lots of first pitch strikes and had the changeup working against lefties. For a guy who struggled with control issues in his AAA promotion last year, he looked polished and composed, if not relatively unexciting. The Yankees team they trotted out today was very far from fully-operational, though. In the short term, the Braves have one of the easier schedules in September and he’s stretched out enough to go deeper into games. I’m on board.

i get your point but most teams don't have a lineup like that anyway
