brockpapersizer 11,398
Interesting for 2 catcher leagues. He could be Astudillo but better. He's shown great plate discipline in the minors.

KilloWertz 2,533
As long as he can hit given how awful Catcher is again, I don't care how big he is. That is if he plays much at all the rest of this season.

KilloWertz 2,533
Getting his first start tonight. Hopefully he does good so they aren't dumb enough to hardly play him the rest of the way since that wouldn't really save them anything.
Hanghow 415
Game 1: a walk, three balls in play over 100 MPH, and a long foul ball. Fairly promising start...

Low and Away 1,565
I saw one AB where he hit a groundball to third to start a DP. Just wasn't that impressed with him either offensively or behind the plate. Will be limited with his weight on both as movement is very limited.

Sounded like he had a fairly promising first game. Obviously not spectacular given that it ended up being an empty 1-3, but I don't think he's considered one of the top catching prospects in baseball for no reason, even if most of them have ended up being extreme busts recently. brockpapersizer 11,398
Big night last night 4-4 HR. He's going to be an interesting guy for next year in 2 C leagues.
jasonpark87 21
Hit one about a foot below the top of the wall in an earlier at bat. Had to settle for a long single. LOL. Could have had a HUGE night. Still amazing.
The Big Bat Theory 7,290
Big dude. The Bartolo Colon look for catchers. How does someone like that crouch his way through a baseball career? You'd think the spring in his legs would go pretty quickly.

He seems to do a "one-leg" crouch type thing where he sticks one leg out a bit. I don't know if that's helpful, or gonna hurt him in the future.

His knees trying to hold up over the course of a 162 game season Potential with the bat is legit though, and what's not to like about seeing a short fat dude raking Edited September 22, 2020 by Blood Brother

KingJoffrey 806
I wonder if the Jays give him DH at all next season. Or maybe it's back to Tellez.
