RB Start Help: Sanders/Gordon/Howard WHIR

Recommended Posts

.5 PPR. I need to start one of Miles Sanders, Melvin Gordon, or Jordan Howard in my RB2 spot. Sounding like Sanders will play but potentially with limited snaps as they try to ease him back from his hamstring injury. Considering going with Gordon, but reports have been that Philip Lindsay has been the clear better player in camp leading up to week 1. Really no interest in playing Howard (in a potential timeshare with Breida) against NE.

  • Miles Sanders @ Redskins
  • Melvin Gordon v Titans
  • Jordan Howard @ Patriots

Based solely on Sanders hamstring I would roll with Melvin.  Good Luck!

Contrary opinion but I’d go Sanders.  If his hammy were really a problem they wouldn’t play him.

gordon is in a new offense, is also splitting carries and the game against the Titans figures to be low scoring.

howard I actually like, just not against the pats.

miles is the better talent, on the better team and catches passes.

agree with phillyball.  if Sanders is a go, you gotta play him.

Yeah the injury is a bit of a concern, as are the OL injuries, but still I would roll with Sanders.  He's a better PPR back and Gordon has more competition for snaps. I could really see it going either way but that's what I would do.
