Dalton Schultz 2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Blake Jarwin was getting a lot of hype before going down for the year. Enter third year Schultz. He got 10 targets today, catching 9 passes for 88 yards and scoring one touchdown. Showed he's a real team player by joining Dallas in their fumble party, losing the ball once.

I would still prefer Fant and probably Gesicki, too.  Schultz has only had one good week and has also dropped multiple passes so the jury is still out if he is a one game wonder or the real deal.

Schultz caught 9/10 targets this week.

Schultz had a couple of drops in week 1 and dropped one again this week.

"Only had one good week" - It's only week 2.

"Had a drop this week" - But caught 9/10.

I would take Fant over him too, but he's not looking like a bad option with Dallas' offense going crazy.

Just seems like he will be in the 2 3 and 4 carousel just like Jarwin was. Surprisingly, Dallas usage is very spread out right now with the top 2 WRs, TE, and Zeke being the targets. No target hog, so it makes me wonder if there's any chance for consolidation. I think the TE will always be 3A or 3B, so low floor decent ceiling like most tightends lol

Hes available in a lot of leagues. I suggest picking him up. Dallas has a high powered offense and the upside is there. What other available te has anywhere near the upside shultz has?

Tight ends have done well against Cleveland this season.

Mark Andrews 5/58/2 TD in a game in which BAL threw just 25 times.  The Drew Sample-CJ Uzomah combo meal went 11/87/1 TD combined.  Logan Thomas went a more modest 4/31 last week.  Since the beginning of 2019, Cleveland has allowed 13 TDs to be scored by tight ends.

The Browns have been pretty good at containing wide receivers, which means they are likely to funnel targets toward the tight end.

Big game incoming.

Great little matchup for Schultz this week. Seems to be establishing a decent floor and solid ceiling.

8 targets per game the past 3 games without Jarwin. Jarwin has a torn acl, Dallas D gave up 49 points to the Browns, TE 1 status.

Yeah, I don’t remember seeing him return after that hit. It was on his hip but it looked like his knee might’ve twisted weird on impact. Hopefully nothing serious because he’s been impressive

Was wondering the same. Saw he took a big hit what looked like to his leg, was slow to get up. I didn't see him return to the field.
