Joba Chamberlain

Recommended Posts

If you havent noticed, Joba Chamberlain has returned from his hamstring injury and has been lights out in the FSL.

1.61 ERA

0.82 WHIP

Only 14 hits allowed in 28 innings.

32 Ks in 28 IP

From what I have read, his fastball is reaching 97 mph with great command. In addition, he has been flashing a plus slider. The way it looks right now, he is looking like a steal in last years June draft.

If he continues this incredible success, how soon can we expect to see him in the Bronx?

It's only High A. It'll be awhile before he sees the Bronx. If he continues this, he'll climb to AA sometime this year, and likely repeat AA next year, or go between AA/AAA.

It's possible he can be up in 2008, but my guess is his ETA is 2009.
